Ninoes Take Flight With New Set Of Wings

It is the most remarkable event in the life of a motowner, besides it gives the ninoes a chance to exhibit their talents but unfortunately it occurs annually.
Before the ninoes night, most students were anxious, aggressive and ready with empty gallons and sticks to "flow" the "Sardine tins" from their houses as they performed. On Saturday morning students from all categories were interviewed. According to them some especially the ninoes said that they were just waiting for the D-day to pass, others were reluctant to perform, most of the seniors were interested, especially the lovers of both African and Western music. From sources the prefects were like ferocious animals ready to devour any student that fell in their traps especially those who indulged themselves in excessive non-school activity.

On the 2nd November at 5:45 the whole Assembly Hall was filled with students. There was confusion everywhere about where the various houses would sit. Since it was a competition there had to be a winner and a loser and everyone was talking with anticipation making the whole place was rowdy. Finally the show was on the road and the MC's introduced themselves as:
Priscilla Yobo, Fareed Tinorgah, Kwabena Wiafe and Shika Obeng.

Then they introduced the judges: Mr. Ketu, Mr. Berdie, Mr. Zumanu and Mrs. Betty Osei amidst other distinguished guests. The Chapel prefect was then called to say a word of prayer to set the ball rolling. M'Carthy , the house of excellence was the first to perform. They started with their Western dance and with stars like Sharon, Liela, Samantha and Idayatu the Maca chicks were high in spirit and performed to expectation.Their African dance was incredible and also featured Harriet, Amerley and others.
Right after Maca came Aggrey House with their Cultural dance. They managed to woo students with their western dance with stars like Prince and many others.
Next came House 17 and Fraser. Their performance was outstandingly great. Chocolate Boys of Cadbury were next. During their miming the unexpected happened when Edem Dugbatse took a banner with "17 we love you" written on it. Phyllis Sasu of House 17 went on stage to give Edem a rose adding insult to injury. This got the audience flowing and booing at the same time.
After all the noise OAA house came after some few minutes of delay. Their performance especially the miming and comedy were exceptional. They were "flowed" (praised) by everyone because due to the delay the audience perceived that they would not perform to expectation.

Next up was Gyamfi who placed a minute ninoe in an open chopbox. This got people on the edge of their seats and in great anxiety. The most interesting aspect of it was when they pulled their chopbox stunt. This got people off the edge of their seats screaming with utmost delight. They did quite well because with lovers of music like 'tsotsoflotso', and 'Borlaray', we were expecting something great.
Then came the sporty 'chics' of Clark house. Their western dance was okay but had a few setbacks. Their cultural dance was cool but their miming was better.
The next houses to perform were Slessor and Lugard. Lugard tried using basketballs to lil'bow wow's basketball song. It somewhat worked. Their performances were great especially their cultural dances.

The last two houses were the yellow bees of livingstone and Kingsley. They did very well especially Livingstone who shocked the whole school because they hardly placed in such events. Thumbs up Livingstone!! Kingsley house girls gave a unique performance very different from what the others did. For their cultural dance the girls themselves played the drums and sang their own song unlike the others who danced to recorded music. What took the audience by surprise was a ballet peformance by Esinam .She was fantastic. Their western dance wasn't bad, but two categories they did not perform was miming and 'fooling' (excessive comic relief). So I guess they lost marks there.
The "ZOOGEE" clan was called to launch their first album with stars like "Tsotsoflotso", Kryptic, Selorm, Shakur and many others. Finally Mr Carl Birdie was called to announce the results. The results were as follows:

Infact the show was so splendid that people remained in their seats and felt reluctant to go back to their houses. This would surely be a night to remember
