A Trouble Experience In School
It was a little after midnight and the rainstorm had fully ended. My friends and I were standing under a tree with our clothes soaked terribly. We had run away from school to town to enjoy ourselves at a club nearby. We succeeded in sneaking out of school to the club and enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, on our way back to school, Semanu, one of my friends who had taken up the responsibility of paying for all the expenses informed us of the sudden disappearance of his wallet.
Since none of us had been thoughtful enough to take some extra money in case of emergencies, we had no option but to walk back to the school. It was very late and we were frightened so I suggested that we should jog quickly to the school instead of walking. Everyone agreed and we took to it. Suddenly, the weather changed and it began to rain heavily. We couldn't stand it anymore and that's how we ended up under that tree.
After a minute of silence, Kojo, the oldest among us broke the silence by telling us plans about how to prevent being caught by a teacher. The rain stopped after a few minutes and we continued on our journey. After a long period of jogging and conversing, we arrived in the school.
We reached for the boarding house and said a thankful prayer to God. Immediately we opened the door to the dormitory, we heard someone call us. We noticed it was coming from the housemaster's bungalow. We assumed it was the housemaster since we couldn't see his face in the darkness. He then counted us and asked all of us to enter a certain room which was near our dorm to which he had the keys. We obeyed him and he quickly came to lock the door. We sat on the floor and in no time we fell asleep. Early the next morning we heard laughter outside. Someone opened the door. Our mates were standing in front of us and informed us on how one of them had imitated the voice of my housemaster and tricked us. We were all so ashamed that we never tried to sneak out again.
